Dallas-based JLB Partners is joining the rush of proposals seeking to take advantage of the $65 billion Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing plant by considering a mixed-use development in North Phoenix, along Loop 101.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal, JLB has recently submitted a zoning application for a 50-acre property at Mayo Boulevard and 64th Street. The proposed development would be a planned unit development with multiple phases, including residential units, hotel rooms, retail space, dining options or office space totaling up to approximately 250,000 square feet.
The project is part of an even larger plan for the area. Mack Real Estate Group and McCourt Partners are teaming up to create a $7 billion master-planned center that will feature around 30 million square feet of commercial space anchored by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s project.
In addition to this new proposal from JLB Partners and other developments related to the semiconductor plant in North Phoenix’s Loop 101 area , construction is also underway on Republic Services Inc.’s new office headquarters campus at CityNorth next door to Desert Ridge Marketplace.
