Taking advantage of the opportunity presented by the $65 billion Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing plant, JLB Partners from Dallas is considering a mixed-use development in North Phoenix near Loop 101.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal, JLB has recently applied for zoning approval from the city of Phoenix for their planned unit development on a 50-acre property at Mayo Boulevard and 64th Street. The proposed project will be developed in multiple phases and include approximately 1,300 residential units, 300 hotel rooms, as well as retail space spanning over an area of about 40,000 square feet. Additionally, there are plans for dining options covering around20 ,000 square feet or office space totaling up to250 ,000 square feet on this highly visible site.
Mack Real Estate Group and McCourt Partners have joined forces to create a master-planned center worth $7 billion with commercial space measuring up to30 million square feet anchored by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s project. In close proximity is another ongoing construction project – Republic Services Inc.’s new office headquarters campus at CityNorth adjacent to Desert Ridge Marketplace.
