Prologis Appoints Kurt Nelson as Vice President, Market Officer for Portland
Prologis has announced the appointment of Kurt Nelson as Vice President, Market Officer for its Portland, Oregon market. In this new leadership role, Nelson will oversee Prologis’ 7.2 million-square-foot regional operating portfolio. His responsibilities will include managing team talent, enhancing customer engagement, and leading leasing, operations, and strategic portfolio expansion.
Nelson brings over two decades of commercial real estate experience to the position, with a background that spans leasing, asset management, and capital deployment in the industrial, office, retail, and mixed-use sectors.
As Market Officer, Nelson will be responsible for the company’s 57-building portfolio, which covers key submarkets including Airport Way, Northwest Portland, Rivergate, Tualatin, and Clackamas.
Prior to joining Prologis, Nelson served as Vice President at Swift Real Estate Partners, where he played a key role in driving the firm’s expansion in the Pacific Northwest. Previously, he held the position of Vice President, Acquisitions and Capital Markets at Schnitzer Properties, where he streamlined the company’s acquisition operations.
Nelson’s appointment reflects Prologis’ continued commitment to strategic growth and operational excellence in the Portland market.
