**Banner Health Breaks Ground on 120,000-SF Medical Campus in Scottsdale**
Banner Health has officially begun construction on a new 120,000-square-foot medical campus in North Scottsdale, located near Loop 101 and Hayden Road. The Banner Health Center Plus campus is being developed in collaboration with the City of Scottsdale and will be fully funded through private investment.
The campus will include a specialty cancer center, Banner Urgent Care, Banner Imaging, and a broad range of primary and specialty physician services. Serving as a major addition to the region’s healthcare infrastructure, the project is expected to create approximately 2,500 jobs and bring more than $750 million in direct investment to the local economy.
Construction alone will generate an estimated $500 million in economic impact, and once operational, the facility is projected to contribute nearly $400 million annually in economic benefits to the community.
NexCore Group is leading the development, with Okland Construction serving as the general contractor. Completion of the initial phase is anticipated by early 2027.
A second phase is also planned, which will include a 350,000-square-foot acute-care hospital. This full-service facility is set to open with 106 patient beds in its first phase of construction.
