"Progress Being Made on 500,000-Square-Foot Forney Shopping Complex"

Construction has begun on Village at Gateway, a 120-acre mixed-use development in Forney, Texas by StreetLevel Investments. The project is situated within the larger 2,000-acre Gateway master-planned development at the intersection of North Gateway Boulevard and U.S. Highway 80. Phase 1 of the project is set to open in summer of 2026 and will feature approximately 500,000 square feet of retail space.

GFF has been enlisted as the designer for Village at Gateway with Ridgemont Commercial Construction serving as general contractor. The retail center will be anchored by Target (144,000 square feet), Home Depot (135,000 square feet), and H-E-B (130,000 square feet) with an additional offering of approximately120 ,000 square feet for various retail stores , services ,and restaurants . Additionally,the property will include nine outparcels and potential opportunities for multi-family residential units in the future.Phase2 is also planned to add another200 ,00squarefeetofretail spacewith tenant announcements expected soon.

Edge Realty Partners’ David Copeland and Ryan Griffin are responsible for handling leasingand salesfortheVillageatGatewayproperty.
