Construction has begun on The Mix, a 112-acre mixed-use community located in Frisco, Texas. This $3 billion development is situated at the intersection of Dallas Parkway and Lebanon Road in the North Platinum Corridor.
The first phase of The Mix will cover 28 acres along Lebanon Road and will feature over 2 million square feet of office space, 375,000 square feet of retail including a grocery store, two hotels with a total of over 600 rooms (a business hotel with approximately 400-450 keys and a boutique hotel with around200 keys), as well as residential units spanning across an impressive3 million square feet.
The project’s partners include Torti Gallas + Partners and Arcadis for master planning architecture; Kimley-Horn for planning and design engineering; MIG for landscape architecture; StreetLights Residentialfor mixed-use development; The Retail Connectionfor retail spaces;and JLLfor officeand medical spaces. AECOM Hunt has been tasked to complete infrastructure work for the first phaseof this ambitious project.
At its core lies an expansive8-acre central park featuring amenities such as event lawns,a performance pavilion,promenades,and playgrounds. With construction now underway,the highly anticipated completion date draws closer each day.
