Private Jet Operator to Open $31 Million South Florida Facility

The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is set to welcome a new fixed-base operator, Fontainebleau Aviation. This company has plans to construct a 100,000-square-foot hangar and 10,000-square-foot terminal with an additional 25,000 square feet of office and lobby space.

According to the S. Florida Business Journal, Fontainebleau Aviation has already started selling FLL hangar space for private and corporate aircraft owners looking for protection from the elements while parked. The company is also offering airport office space for sale.

FLL expects Fontainebleau Aviation’s $31 million project to be completed by early 2025. The facility will feature a hangar spanning over 98,000 square feet and a terminal measuring over 9,000 square feet.

With daily flights reaching up to 700 destinations both domestically and internationally since the late ’90s,FLL serves as an intercontinental gateway; however,Miami International Airport remains the primary hub for long-haul flights.Fort Lauderdale,Pompano Beach,Coral Springs,and Boca Raton areas all rely on FLL as their main airport.
