A 12,500-square-foot Pottery Barn lease at a 1.1-million-plus-square-foot Twin Cities mall underscores ongoing demand for well-located, large-format retail centers from national home furnishings brands.

Rosedale Center has secured a new lease with home furnishings retailer Pottery Barn, adding another national brand to the regional shopping destination in the Twin Cities. The 1,142,972-square-foot shopping center reported that Pottery Barn has committed to a 12,500-square-foot store, further diversifying the propertys tenant mix and reinforcing its position as a large-scale retail hub.

Pottery Barn, part of the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. portfolio of brands, is known for casual and comfortable home furnishings and decor. The retailer will be located in an exterior space at the center, with an opening planned for 2027. The addition reflects Rosedale Centers ongoing effort to refresh and update its retail lineup as consumer expectations for in-person shopping continue to evolve.

The lease was secured by Holly Rome, executive vice president of national retail leasing with JLL, who leads the leasing program at Rosedale Center. Rome noted that customer preferences in retail are continually changing and indicated that the center is adapting its offerings in response. She expressed confidence that the surrounding community will support the new Pottery Barn location once it opens.

Rosedale Center is positioned between Minneapolis and St. Paul, serving shoppers from across the Twin Cities. The shopping center features more than 150 retailers, including a mix of national anchors and specialty tenants. Existing brands at the property include Dicks Sporting Goods, AMC Theatres, JCPenney, Macys, Rose & Loon, and Von Maur, offering apparel, entertainment, and department store options for visitors.

The planned 2027 opening gives Rosedale Center and Pottery Barn time to integrate the new store into the centers merchandising plan and marketing efforts. The new lease also underscores the continued role of brick-and-mortar locations for established retail brands seeking to maintain visibility and direct customer engagement in major regional shopping destinations.

By adding Pottery Barn to an already extensive tenant roster, Rosedale Center continues to position itself as a full-service retail environment for the Twin Cities, combining department stores, specialty retailers, and entertainment uses in a single, large-format property. The lease also highlights ongoing activity in the home furnishings category, as retailers evaluate physical locations that can serve broad trade areas and complement their digital channels.
