Venture Global LNG Inc. has acquired Potomac Tower, a prestigious 20-story office building located at 1001 19th Street North in Rosslyn, from Brookfield for $143 million. The sale was reported by the Washington Business Journal and marks Venture Global’s largest real estate investment to date.
As the building’s largest tenant and a global leader in liquefied natural gas, Venture Global will now also call Potomac Tower its global headquarters. The company paid approximately $600 per square foot for this Class A property situated at 1001 19th St. N., Arlington.
The transaction included two separate deals: one for the building itself valued at $113.8 million and another for the land priced at $29.2 million.The seller of both properties was BFP Potomac Tower Co LLC, a subsidiary of Brookfield Corp.
Designed by renowned architect I.M Pei (known for his work on iconic structures such as Paris’ Louvre Pyramid), Potomac Tower is fully leased with notable tenants including Nestle, Rosetta Stone,and Amazon’s HQ2 among others.
