The Mid Atlantic Retail Group of JLL has recently announced the signing of two new restaurant leases at Potomac Place, a shopping center owned by Zuckerman Gravely in Potomac, Maryland. Cava Mezze Group will be introducing a new concept in 2025 at the former Renatos space while Duke’s Grocery will open its first location outside of Washington D.C. to replace Lock 72.
Andy Corno from JLL represented Zuckerman Gravely while Kelly Silverman from CBRE and Alex Walker from Miller Walker represented Cava Mezza Group and Duke’s Grocery respectively.
Cava Mezza Group plans to bring their “Italian-inspired cuisine” to Potomac with this new concept. Meanwhile, Duke’s Grocery is a British-style gastropub based in D.C., known for its sandwiches, salads, and full-service bar featuring cocktails, beer and wine.
According to Corno: “Core grocery-anchored shopping centers like Potomac Place are thriving right now.” He also expressed his satisfaction with how these deals came together as they pave the way for an exciting future for Potomac.
