### Therme Group Plans $800M Resort Hotel in Dallas

Austrian-based Therme Group is planning its first U.S. resort hotel on a 24-acre site near 1500 S. Riverfront Blvd. in Dallas, overlooking the Trinity River. The $800 million development is expected to generate more than $1.8 billion in tax revenue over its first 30 years, including $1.1 billion in local tax revenue.

According to the *Dallas Business Journal*, the resort could create over 1,000 jobs and attract millions of visitors annually to an often-overlooked part of downtown, situated between the Cedars neighborhood, the Trinity River, and I-35E.

Therme Group will partner with The Georgetown Co. for the hotel project, which has a target opening date of 2030. However, zoning and development approvals are still required, and the company plans to apply for incentives from the City of Dallas.

Therme currently operates resort destinations across Europe.
