Marriott International, Inc. has recently acquired the brand Postcard Cabins (formerly known as Getaway Outposts), which includes 29 properties and over 1,200 cabins across the United States. In addition to this acquisition, Marriott also entered into a long-term agreement with Trailborn, an outdoor-focused accommodations provider.
According to Jon Staff, Founder and CEO of Postcard Cabins: “What began as a small group of individuals who believed in the value of spending time in nature has now become a national movement that we believe will only continue to grow with Marriott’s extensive reach.” As part of their expansion plans for 2025, Marriott intends to launch an outdoor-focused collection supported by these two deals.
Leeny Oberg, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for Development at Marriott International stated: “As more travelers seek out nature-immersive experiences during their trips, we are thrilled to add Postcard Cabins to our portfolio under the Marriott Bonvoy brand. This will allow us to offer even more unique accommodations and unforgettable experiences in breathtaking destinations.” This move reflects Marriot’s commitment towards meeting the growing demand for nature-based travel options among guests.
