The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), in collaboration with The New Terminal One (NTO) and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Airports, has revealed the commercial plan for JFK International Airport’s new $9.5 billion all-international terminal, scheduled to open in 2026.
With 23 gates and a sprawling retail, dining, and lounge area spanning over 2.4 million square feet, The New Terminal One will be the largest terminal at JFK. URW Airports has issued a global duty-free Request for Proposals (RFP), with an emphasis on featuring locally-made products. This project is part of a larger $19 billion redevelopment initiative at JFK aimed at providing passengers with an unparalleled airport experience comparable to other world-renowned airports. The transformation also includes upgrades to Terminal 6, expansion of Terminal 4, and modernization of Terminal 8.
