PNC Bank has recently announced a long-term lease extension for its downtown Chicago office, opting to stay at One North Franklin in the city’s Central Business District instead of relocating to Wacker Drive as previously reported.
The Pittsburgh-based financial services firm, managed by MetLife Investment Management, will also be making upgrades to the 617,000-square-foot property this year. According to sources from the Chicago Business Journal , PNC’s regional president for Illinois and Midwest territory executive Scott Swanson stated that this is their third major investment in the space since receiving naming rights for PNC Centre in 2011.
Planned capital improvements include bold new designs that showcase PNC’s brand image and a full-floor amenity space on the building’s 36th floor. The project is being led by design firm EWP Architects and is expected to be completed by 2025.
