Plug and Play has announced plans to open a new AI Center of Excellence at DivcoWest’s 2 West Santa Clara, a creative office property located in the heart of downtown San Jose. The innovation platform and startup accelerator will occupy the eighth floor of the building, positioning itself at the center of the city’s emerging tech ecosystem.

The deal was facilitated by Newmark, with Vice Chairmen Mike Saign and Jeff Arrillaga, along with Managing Director Grant Meylan, representing the listing for 2 West Santa Clara. The team worked in close collaboration with DivcoWest to finalize the lease agreement with Plug and Play.

“Our team is excited to kick off the leasing of 2 West with Plug and Play,” said Saign. “The public and private support of this initiative is an incredible partnership that will quickly draw more emerging AI startups to the tech ecosystem downtown. The speed of AI innovation coupled with the vibrant urban experience downtown San Jose offers is an exciting combination that will benefit the city and community for decades to come.”

This move marks a significant boost for downtown San Jose’s innovation landscape, reinforcing its role as a hub for cutting-edge technology and entrepreneurial growth.
