Platform Ventures Launches Ground-Up Multifamily Development Platform

Kansas City-based Platform Ventures has announced the launch of a new multifamily development platform focused on ground-up apartment construction. This expansion aims to build on the company’s existing expertise and investments in the housing sector.

To lead the initiative, the firm has appointed Christopher N. Bennish as Managing Director. Bennish brings significant experience to the role, having previously served as Development Partner at Price Development Group. In that capacity, he oversaw the development of approximately 3,300 multifamily units, representing a total project capitalization of $750 million. His work spanned key markets including South Texas, Colorado, Nashville, and Kansas City.

“We are excited to welcome Chris to the Platform Ventures team as we expand our residential footprint,” said Terry Anderson, Co-Founder and Co-President of Platform Ventures. “Chris’s deep experience, leadership, and market insight make him the ideal person to launch and grow our multifamily development platform.”

The new multifamily platform will target ground-up development opportunities in regions where Platform Ventures already holds residential investments, particularly across the Central, Southeast, and Southwest United States.

The move marks a significant step forward in the firm’s strategy to broaden its impact in the U.S. housing market.
