Grossman Company Properties, the owner of Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, has submitted plans to expand the hotel with 460 new rooms and additional conference space, restaurants, a food hall and possibly apartments. The resort is located off I-10 and Baseline Road in Phoenix; it was built in 1987.
The proposed expansion will take place on vacant space as well as current parking lots on both northeast and southwest sides of the 60-acre property. According to Phoenix Business Journal reports, 35000 square feet are dedicated for new food & beverage spaces while 78000 square feet already exist for conferences at Arizona Grand which may be increased up to 49500 square feet after additions along with 25300 sq ft event lawns & 7300 sq ft outdoor terraces. Swaback PLLC have been signed by Grossman as project architects for this major expansion plan of Arizona Grand Resort & Spa which currently holds 744 guest suites .
