Planning 29-Story Apartment in Fulton Market by Sterling Bay

Sterling Bay is planning a 390-unit apartment tower at 370 N. Carpenter Street in the bustling Fulton Market, reported Crain’s. The 29-story project would redevelop a 10,414-square-foot building that Sterling Bay purchased for $4 million in 2013. This new development will include 156 parking spaces and 6,670 square feet of ground floor retail space as well as 78 affordable units to adhere to Chicago’s ordinance on affordable housing requirements for new apartment projects.

Sterling Bay has several high profile projects underway throughout Chicago including 160 N Morgan Street property and the 28 story apartment building at 225 N Elizabeth Street . Additionally they recently signed an office lease in Fulton Market , adding to the neighborhood’s booming activity .

This latest endeavor by Sterling Bay is sure to add another layer of vibrancy and energy into this already thriving area of downtown Chicago – further cementing its place among one of America’s most dynamic cities .
