"Planned Mesa Development: $150M Mixed-Use Center with Target as Anchor"

SimonCRE, a leading national retail center developer, has announced plans to transform 60 acres of land in east Mesa into a dynamic mixed-use development. The project, known as Medina Station, will be anchored by a 150,000 square foot Target store and located on the southeast corner of Southern Avenue and Signal Butte Road. Adjacent to U.S. Highway 60 and just north of the new center will be an additional 50,000-square-foot building available for lease.

With groundbreaking expected in early 2025 and completion slated for early 2027, SimonCRE is teaming up with Bela Flor Communities to bring this exciting project to life. Phoenix-based RKAA Architects has been selected as the architect for Medina Station while Western Retail Advisors will serve as the leasing brokerage.

While previous plans included a multifamily component at this location according to ConnectCRE’s coverage on the topic earlier this year , it appears that option is no longer part of SimonCRE’s vision for Medina Station.

Overall investment in this transformative development is estimated at $150 million dollars which promises significant economic growth opportunities within East Mesa upon its completion.
