Post Lake Capital Partners and Trube Corp have submitted a request to the San Antonio planning agency for approval to construct a 10-story apartment building and a three-story retail building on East Market Street, at the heart of Hemisfair. The project will cover 2.4 acres of land, divided into two parcels known as D1 and D2, with construction expected to begin in late 2024. This development will be located on the site where the famous 1968 World’s Fair took place.
The design firm responsible for this project is FitzGerald Associates Architects from Chicago, who recently filed their plans for review by the Historic Design Review Committee. It is anticipated that this matter will be discussed at next month’s meeting.
The proposed tower will consist of 304 residential units, along with a nine-level parking garage and ground-floor retail space. The adjacent three-story structure will feature food and beverage tenants on its river level and ground floor, while also serving as a mechanical penthouse on its top floor.
