Planet Fitness franchise CDM Fitness Holdings has appointed Bruce Edwards as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 16, 2023. With over 30 years of executive and operational experience in the fitness and multi-site retail industries, Edwards previously served as CrossFit’s Chief Operating Officer and Growth Officer at In Shape Health Clubs.
Edwards will lead CDM in its strategic growth plans to expand reach by developing organic options and acquiring additional clubs across Massachusetts, New Hampshire Rhode Island & Vermont with the aim of providing accessible fitness options to all. “I am excited to join the team at Planet Fitness and support their mission of providing a high-quality fitness experience in a judgment-free environment that welcomes everyone,” said Edwards.
