Vornado Realty Trust, Hudson Pacific Properties, and Blackstone have partnered with the City of New York and New York City Economic Development Corporation to initiate Manhattan’s first public-private partnership for building Sunset Pier 94 Studios in Midtown. This purpose-built studio campus aims to bolster NYC’s competitive edge in content production by providing film and production technology along with amenities such as public restrooms, community spaces, waterfront open space.
The total investment of around $350 million is expected to generate over 1,300 construction jobs; 400 permanent jobs; plus contribute $6.4 billion towards the local economy over three decades. Construction is slated for Q3 2023 with project delivery anticipated by end 2025.
