The Picklr has selected Fox River Commons in Naperville, Illinois as the location for its first pickleball facility in the greater Chicago area. The Utah-based company plans to open 500 venues across the country, with a focus on indoor courts.
A lease agreement has been signed between The Picklr and Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) for 27,333 square feet of space within the 241,000 square foot shopping center. Cherene Keenan of CRC represented the landlord while Carter Randall of PPC Commercial represented The Picklr in this transaction.
With pickleball gaining popularity and a growing demand for indoor courts nationwide, The Picklr is strategically expanding through both corporate-owned and franchise locations. In just three years, they have opened seven facilities with six more currently under construction set to open soon. Additionally, agreements have been made with franchisees to establish approximately 80 new locations across twelve states including Illinois.
This announcement marks another milestone achievement as part of The Picklr’s national expansion plan without any mention or reference to Connect CRE or its affiliated brands.
