**PickleBOS to Open First Indoor Pickleball Facility in Charlestown This Winter**
Pickleball is making a splash in Boston with the upcoming arrival of PickleBOS, a premier indoor pickleball club set to open this winter at Charlestown Labs. Real estate developer Related Beal announced the news Thursday, revealing plans for a state-of-the-art, 22,570-square-foot facility located at 440 Rutherford Avenue in the Charlestown neighborhood.
Marking the first permanent indoor pickleball courts in Charlestown, PickleBOS will feature 10 high-tech courts equipped with TVs, iPads, and cameras, allowing players to access live scoring, instant replays, and other digital enhancements for an elevated playing experience. The venue will also offer a full-service menu through collaborations with leading local restaurant groups, blending recreation with premium dining.
“The addition of PickleBOS reinforces our vision for Charlestown Labs as a vibrant, mixed-use campus that brings energy, innovation, and new experiences to this corner of Charlestown,” said Will Grosvenor, development manager at Related Beal. “We’re excited to welcome PickleBOS to the neighborhood and to add a unique, wellness-focused amenity for the entire community to enjoy.”
The Charlestown Labs project continues to evolve as a community hub, and PickleBOS brings a new dimension to the development by promoting active lifestyles and social engagement.
