### Pickleball Franchise Moves into Former Planet Fitness in Burlington
Burgess Properties, LLC has brokered a 21,500-square-foot lease for The Picklr, a rapidly growing national indoor pickleball franchise. The new facility, previously occupied by Planet Fitness, features high ceilings and an open layout. It is located at 40 Ray Ave. in Burlington, MA, adjacent to the Burlington Ice Palace.
Steve Nohrden and Charlie Jacob of Burgess Properties represented the landlord in the transaction, while Sam Peterson of Eastern Retail Properties represented the tenant. The Picklr’s new Burlington location is set to open on April 12.
According to the company’s website, The Picklr has signed 71 leases and already opened 27 locations nationwide. The franchise is backed by major sponsors, including Head and Joola, and is receiving promotional support from Super Bowl champion and pickleball enthusiast Drew Brees.
