In 2020, Randalls closed its Clear Lake store, leaving a vacancy that has now been filled by Elite Pickleball. The retail space was acquired by Partners Real Estate in 2021 and negotiations for the seven-year lease were handled expertly by Lesley Rice, Andy Parrish and Audrey Schulz of the project leasing team. Red Key Houston represented the tenant.
Elite Pickleball will be opening their second location in Houston at Bay Pointe Shopping Center after successfully launching their first location on W. 6th St last summer. The new club will offer amenities such as food and beverage options, a pro shop and 14 courts for players to enjoy. It is set to open in January next year.
The former Randalls space spans nearly 100,000 square feet but with this recent lease agreement it is now at an impressive occupancy rate of over two-thirds (68%). This marks another successful venture for Connect CRE’s partners who continue to bring valuable tenants into their properties across Texas.
