The Phoenix Suns and WNBA Phoenix Mercury have announced plans for a new team headquarters and practice facility in the heart of downtown Phoenix’s Warehouse District. This $100 million investment will span 123,000 square feet, making it one of the largest developments for a professional sports organization in the country.
According to officials from the Suns organization, this state-of-the-art campus will offer over 65,000 square feet of space dedicated to both teams. The Mercury’s portion alone will cover more than 58,000 square feet and feature top-of-the-line amenities such as two practice courts with ten baskets each, round-the-clock access for players and coaches alike, a fitness room with hot/cold pools and underwater treadmills, as well as a player lounge area complete with film room technology. With its modern design and impressive features,the new Mercury practice facility is set to become one of the premier training facilities in all women’s professional sports.
