Phoenix Approves Gila Foothills Expansion Plan

The Phoenix City Council has given the green light to a zoning proposal for Gila Foothills, a 300-acre master-planned development located southwest of Phoenix. The project will span an agricultural area along Loop 202, just north of South Mountain. Plans include a resort spanning 50 acres and housing options in Laveen Village.

According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the approved plan outlines 1,200 housing units with potential for additional development if certain criteria are met.
