**P&G Unveils Master Plan for South Boston Gillette Campus Redevelopment**

Procter & Gamble’s Gillette division has officially submitted a master plan to Boston city officials for a transformative redevelopment of its 31-acre campus in South Boston. This move marks a significant step in the company’s broader strategy to modernize its Massachusetts footprint, highlighted by the gradual relocation of manufacturing operations out of the South Boston site.

According to a report by The Boston Globe, the proposed redevelopment would result in a sweeping 5.7-million-square-foot, mixed-use project. The plan envisions 1,800 residential units across nine buildings, totaling approximately 1.7 million square feet. Additionally, the site would feature 3.5 million square feet of commercial space designed for office and laboratory uses, 200,000 square feet dedicated to retail and restaurant spaces, and a 250,000-square-foot hotel.

This ambitious project is expected to be built in phases over the next decade or more.

“We’ve long been proud of our heritage here in Massachusetts,” said Kara Buckley, Vice President of Community Affairs at Gillette. “We’re excited about the legacy we could leave behind through this plan.”

The redevelopment of the South Boston campus represents a pivotal opportunity to reshape a key waterfront area, offering a blend of housing, employment, and lifestyle amenities.
