Perpetual-Life Credit REIT Launched by Invesco Real Estate

Invesco Real Estate has launched Invesco Commercial Real Estate Finance Trust, Inc. (INCREF), a private fund providing accredited investors with access to the asset class of private real estate credit. INCREF is a non-exchange traded, perpetual-life REIT and will offer its shares pursuant to SEC Rule 506(c). The Dallas based fund will originate, acquire and manage a diversified portfolio of loans and debt with an emphasis on “core-plus” credit investments across the commercial real estate universe.

Charlie Rose, Invesco Real Estate’s global head of credit commented that “Private real estate credit is gaining attention from accredited investors who are seeking strategies for accessing this asset class which has not been traditionally available to them.” He further noted that “The recent pullback by regional banks coupled with significant increases in short term interest rates presents an opportunity for commercial real estate lenders.”
