Partners Developing Georgetown Mixed-Use Project

Construction has begun on Phase I of The Commons at River, a mixed-use development located in Georgetown near Williams Drive. This project will feature a plaza, an apartment complex, various service-based companies, retail space and restaurants.

According to Community Impact , the developer started work on the underground infrastructure for the project in September 2023. Construction of a 15,000-square-foot building began about a year later and half of it has already been pre-leased. Two additional retail buildings within The Commons at River are expected to be approximately 9,600 square feet each.

The site is being developed by Headwater and Partners Development Co., which is part of Partners Real Estate. In 2021, Partners purchased the site for $4.5 million from Raye McCoy Elementary School’s former location . In 2022,the city of Georgetown approved plans for this mixed-use development.

Once completed,a neighboring 1.28-acre site will be reserved for future development opportunities alongside The Commons at River.
