**Paramount Signs 10-Year Lease at 1888 Studios in Bayonne, NJ**
1888 Studios, a 1.6-million-square-foot film and television production campus currently under development by Togus Urban Renewal in Bayonne, New Jersey, has announced a major new tenant. Paramount, a Skydance Corporation, has signed a minimum 10-year lease, committing to more than 285,000 square feet of space as part of its plan to establish a significant production hub in the state.
“With 1888 Studios, we set out to build a cutting-edge facility that would attract the world’s most ambitious storytellers – giving New Jersey true scale and a home for every facet of film and television production under one roof,” said Arpad Busson, Chairman of Togus Urban Renewal.
Named after the year that Thomas Edison patented the motion picture camera, 1888 Studios is poised to become the largest campus-style production facility in the Northeast and one of the largest in the United States. Spanning 58 acres, the state-of-the-art complex will feature 23 smart sound stages with minimum 40-foot clear ceilings, along with comprehensive production support spaces.
Additional amenities will include flexible post-production areas, offices, mills, base camp and backlot facilities, as well as lighting and grip services designed to support every phase of film and television production.
This major lease with Paramount marks a significant milestone in New Jersey’s growing role as a premier destination for the entertainment industry.
