**Publix to Anchor 500,000-Square-Foot Mixed-Use Development in Panama City**

The St. Joe Company has announced that Publix Supermarket will anchor the upcoming Watersound West Bay Center development in Panama City, Florida. The grocery store will serve as the centerpiece of the dynamic new project, which will also include a mix of retail, restaurant, office, and medical space totaling approximately 500,000 square feet. Construction on the development is expected to begin later this year.

In addition to the Publix, St. Joe plans to build adjacent in-line retail space to further enhance the shopping and commercial offerings. The company first began work on the Watersound West Bay Center project in 2022, with the first tenants expected to move in early next year.

The development is situated on 110 acres at 8435 West Bay Parkway, located at the entrance to the Latitude Margaritaville senior living community. It sits just west of State Road 79, approximately seven miles from both Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport and downtown Panama City Beach.

This major mixed-use project is set to bring significant commercial growth to the area, supporting the expanding needs of both residents and visitors in the region.
