Foxx Development, the first tenant at Hines’ Britannia Tech Park in San Diego’s Otay Mesa submarket, has recently expanded its tenancy by leasing an additional 50,572 square feet of Class A industrial space. This comes on top of their initial lease for 50,573 square feet signed just last month. The Irvine-based company is expanding its operations and will now occupy the entire 101,145-square-foot building located at 7222 Airway Rd.
Hines owns Britannia Tech Park through their flagship commingled U.S. core plus fund called HUSPP (Hines U.S. Property Partners). The park consists of two distribution/R&D/manufacturing buildings totaling 203,244 square feet that were completed in late 2023. After acquiring the project from the original developer last year,HUSPP was able to secure Foxx Development as a lead tenant with help from Cushman & Wakefield vice chair Brant Aberg SIOR who represented Hines in both leases.
Aberg expressed his excitement about welcoming Foxx Development as a lead tenant and securing them for a full building within the project.”The company’s immediate expansion is proof of high demand for modern high-quality/Class A industrial space in San Diego,” he said.
