Ontario Airport Sees Ongoing Year-Over-Year Growth in Passenger Volume

Ontario International Airport (ONT) saw a 9% increase in air travelers in February, marking the 36th consecutive month of year-over-year growth. Domestic passenger numbers rose by 5.7%, while international fliers increased by an impressive 68.3%.

According to Atif Elkadi, CEO of the Ontario International Airport Authority, this positive trend is evidence that ONT remains the preferred airport for Southern California residents. Since its return to local ownership in 2016, ONT has consistently outperformed expectations and was even able to surpass pre-pandemic passenger levels.

This strong start to the year follows ONT’s record-breaking performance in 2023 when it recorded its highest volumes since 2008. With such consistent growth and success, it’s clear that Ontario International Airport is a top choice for travelers in Southern California.
