Omninet Converts Dallas Hotel Units to Apartments

Omninet Capital is transforming the Sonesta Suites hotel in North Dallas into a modern apartment community. The project, known as Omni Vision Dallas, will be completed by 2025 and features a 10-story building that has been standing for over four decades. With an investment of over $5 million, Omninet is revamping all 295 rooms to include individual kitchens and first-floor amenities. The renowned Indiana-based architect LA+D has been commissioned to design this ambitious project.

This trend of repurposing hotels into residential spaces is not new in North Dallas. In fact, the city of Richardson recently approved the conversion of a former Hyatt House hotel into rental units. Similarly, developers are currently renovating the Cabana Hotel on Stemmons Freeway with support from economic development incentives worth up to $41 million from the Dallas City Council. This year alone, more than 3,000 residential units will be created by converting existing hotel rooms.
