Official Astros Unveil Entertainment Venue

The Houston Astros have finally revealed more information about their planned hotel and entertainment complex next to Minute Maid Park. The organization aims to replicate the lively atmosphere of popular fan destinations like Battery Atlanta in Atlanta and Ballpark Village in St. Louis.

The project will feature a 17-story, 300-room hotel with approximately 60,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space. Construction is set to begin by the end of 2024 on Texas Avenue, directly adjacent to the Astros’ ballpark.

Although no specific start date or cost estimate has been disclosed yet, development firm Hines from Houston and architecture firm HKS Architects from Dallas are already on board for this mixed-use venture. The team is still searching for restaurant and retail tenants as well as a brand name for the hotel.
