M&T Realty Capital Corporation has named Dominick Barresi as Senior Vice President at their New York City office. Barresi will join the capital markets team and oversee MBS investor relations, loan pricing, trading, and key initiatives to support originations across the platform. He joins M&T RCC from Santander where he previously worked on the structured products banking team.

Winston & Strawn LLP has welcomed James Saeli as a partner in their transactions department at their New York office. Saeli will also be a member of the tax practice group and focus on real estate finance with an emphasis on mortgage-backed securitization including real estate investment conduits and other tax-advantaged vehicles.

Syska Hennessy Group, an international engineering firm based in New York City, has promoted two professionals to principal positions: James Carrigan who leads Syska’s fire/life safety practice; and Alex Engelman who is known for his work on large-scale infrastructure projects for government agencies.

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce will host its Best of Brooklyn Real Estate Showcase event at The Refinery at Domino (formerly known as Domino Sugar Refinery) on October 29th. This showcase highlights top real estate projects completed between January 2023-June 2024 with keynote speaker James Whelan (President of REBNY). A reception will follow after the showcase.

Bluerock Total Income+ Real Estate Fund announced that it closed a $750 million revolving line of credit with JPMorgan Chase Bank and RBC Capital Markets serving as lead lender for this new credit facility. This replaces its previous line which was retired during this transaction process.

CRH Ventures launched its latest accelerator program called Sustainable Building Materials which targets Seed-, Series A-, or Series B-stage companies in construction technology or climate tech space that have market-ready products until Decemeber 16th when applications close.

Valon completed its $100 million Series C funding round led by WestCap with participation from existing investors including Andreessen Horowitz. This brings Valon’s total raised capital to $230 million since its founding in 2019.

Tutor Perini Corporation subsidiary Frontier-Kemper Constructors has been awarded a contract worth approximately $1.1 billion by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection for the Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project. The project involves constructing a new deep rock tunnel between the Kensico Reservoir and Catskill/Delaware Ultraviolet Light Disinfection Facility, providing an additional means of conveying water and enhancing operational resiliency for NYC’s water supply system.
