"Obtain $54M Loan for Charleston Mixed-Use Project: JV Partnership"

Cantor Fitzgerald and Silverstein Properties have teamed up with Turnbull Development to create a mixed-use development in Summerville, SC. The project will feature 365 garden-style multifamily units spread across three buildings, as well as a 40,000-square-foot medical office building located in an opportunity zone.

The joint venture secured $54 million in construction financing from SouthState Bank for the development. Situated at the intersection of Berlin Myers Parkway and Highway 78 within Sawmill – a master-planned community spanning over 57 acres – this investment is set to make waves.

Sawmill’s main attraction will be its two-story Roper St. Francis micro-hospital and outpatient surgery center. Additionally, there will be retail out parcels along with a neighborhood grocery store that cater to residents’ needs for convenience and services on-site. The multifamily component boasts direct access to Sawmill Branch Canal and Greenway Trail while offering outdoor amenities like pickleball courts, dog parks, pools, and clubhouses for residents’ enjoyment.

Construction on the multifamily portion is slated to begin in July of next year (2024).
