NYU Langone Health has secured a 105,000-square-foot lease for life sciences space at Innolabs in Long Island City, Queens. The move is expected to take place in 2024 and will relocate four research programs currently located at 435 East 30th Street, including the Neuroscience Institute and the Institute for Systems Genetics.
In addition to this relocation, NYU will also launch their Biomedical Engineering Program from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering at Innolabs’ expansive 267,000-square-foot development. This joint venture by King Street Properties and GFP Real Estate is already home to Opentrons – a biotechnology company occupying an impressive 94,000 square feet.
According to Ed Jarams senior director of King Street Properties,”This move not only showcases Long Island City’s importance as part of NYU’s thriving life sciences ecosystem but also serves as a catalyst for its continued growth.”
