Newmark Retail announced on Friday that it has successfully secured an 80,300-square-foot lease for ROUND1 Bowling & Arcade at The Shops at Skyview in Flushing, Queens. This marks the first location in New York City for ROUND1, a subsidiary of Japan-based amusement store chain ROUND1. According to Newmark Research, this transaction is currently the largest new retail lease to close in NYC this year.

The deal was facilitated by Executive Managing Director David Friedman and Managing Director Andrew Stern of Newmark Retail on behalf of ROUND1.

Friedman stated: “This successful transaction is a testament to the power of commitment and partnership. Over the last two years, these two components have driven us forward towards closing this deal. We congratulate ROUND1 on their upcoming opening and look forward to continuing our partnership as they pursue national expansion.”

ROUND also operates locations in northern and eastern suburbs within NYC.
