NYCRC Grants $20M for New Charter School in the Bronx

New York City Regional Center (NYCRC) has successfully closed a $20 million New Market Tax Credit financing to construct a 155,000-square-foot charter school in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx. This marks as the sixth charter school that has utilized New Market Tax Credit funding from an NYCRC managed entity and fourth in the Bronx.

Run by KIPP NYC, this new facility is expected to accommodate around 1,400 students from grades 9-12 and will be completed for 2025-2026 academic year. The seven story educational building will help finance construction costs associated with it. KIPP NYC operates 18 public charter schools across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bronx which are known for their diverse student body composition.  This latest project adds another feather to its cap!
