New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has announced a plan to address over $100 million in capital repair needs for more than 1,400 residents of the West Brighton I & II developments on Staten Island. Mayor Eric Adams declared “Today is a great day for the more than 1,400 New Yorkers who are going to get the safe, high-quality homes they deserve thanks to this partnership and the PACT program”. The Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) program will be used in order execute this plan with BFC Partners Development LLC, CB Emmanuel Realty LLC and Catholic Homes New York being selected as contractors responsible for providing repairs across 574 apartments located within 14 buildings at this site. BFC and CB Emmanuel have been appointed as general contractors while Pinnacle City Living will serve as day-to-day property manager when it converts into Project-Based Section 8 housing. Construction is scheduled to begin during summer 2024
