Nuveen Appoints Chad Phillips as Global Head of Real Estate
Nuveen, the investment manager of TIAA, has announced that Chad W. Phillips has been named Global Head of Nuveen Real Estate, effective immediately. The move comes as part of the firm’s succession plan following the retirement of Chris McGibbon, who is stepping down after nearly 25 years with the company.
In his new role, Phillips will oversee $141 billion in assets under management, comprising commercial real estate equity and debt investments across 22 countries. He will also lead the Nuveen Real Estate Global Executive Leadership Team, which is responsible for the platform’s strategic direction and initiatives.
Phillips brings nearly 25 years of experience in real estate investing and portfolio management. He joined Nuveen in 2019 and has since earned a reputation for his leadership capabilities, investment insight, and strong client focus.
