**DAHLIN Architecture | Planning | Interiors** has announced key leadership appointments. Mark Lakins has been named Director – Project Development, where he will lead initiatives involving residential, mixed-use, and custom luxury home projects throughout the Southwest Region. Gregg Taylerson has been appointed Director – Design, and will focus on advancing residential design both within Texas and nationally—particularly with large, master-planned communities.
A recent market report from Partner’s highlights Houston’s robust industrial sector in Q3 2025. Despite a slight uptick in vacancy rates and an ongoing construction surge, the market recorded strong performance. Leasing activity reached 10.7 million square feet, a 19.4% increase from Q2. Notably, manufacturing leasing rose by 33%. Net absorption remained positive across all property types, with warehouse/distribution space continuing to lead activity.
Nuveen Green Capital, in collaboration with Lone Star PACE, has completed a $5.5 million C-PACE financing deal for energy upgrades at a 1.1 million-square-foot office tower at 600 E. Las Colinas Boulevard, in Irving. The building’s recent HVAC and automation system enhancements, completed in August 2024, qualified for retroactive Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) funding.
The Picklr is expanding its footprint in Austin with a third location opening this winter in Oak Hill. The new 38,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility will be located at 7107 West Hwy 71, Suite D1—previously home to Epic Fun. It will feature eight indoor courts, a pro shop, private event spaces, and premium viewing areas designed to promote both recreational play and community engagement.
Marcus & Millichap has announced the sale of the Comfort Suites Arlington – Entertainment District, a 108-room all-suites hotel located at 411 W. Road to Six Flags Street in Arlington, Texas. Brokered by Chris Gomes from the company’s Dallas office, the transaction saw the property—formerly owned by Waramaug Hospitality—acquired by Whitestone Hospitality. Situated less than two miles from AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Six Flags Over Texas, the hotel serves as a prominent destination in Arlington’s entertainment corridor.
