**Vanesa Rodriguez Joins Colliers**
Vanesa Rodriguez has joined Colliers as Associate Vice President of Retail Services in Central Florida. She will work alongside David Gabbai, Alexie Fonseca, and Jeff Johnson as part of The Gabbai-Fonseca Retail Team. Rodriguez will specialize in tenant and landlord representation, with a focus on identifying new and existing opportunities across the Central Florida market.

**Stonemont Financial Group Completes 429 Business Center**
Stonemont Financial Group has completed the 429 Business Center, a 259,255-square-foot industrial complex in Ocoee, located just outside of Orlando. The seven-building development, situated along the State Road 429 corridor, is currently 49% pre-leased after breaking ground earlier in 2024. JLL’s Cam Montgomery and Matt Sullivan are managing leasing for the center on behalf of Stonemont. HGR Construction, Inc. served as the general contractor for the project.

**Affordable Housing Project Breaks Ground in Fort Myers**
Curran Young Construction has begun work on the 5300 Summerlin Apartments, a $46 million affordable housing redevelopment in Fort Myers. The project will transform an outdated 172-unit property into 230 modern apartments spread across three new buildings. Community-focused amenities include a 4,396-square-foot clubhouse, community gardens, a dog park, covered pavilions, and grilling areas. Completion is anticipated in approximately 22 months.

**UHealth SoLé Mia Opens in South Florida**
UHealth – the University of Miami Health System – has officially opened UHealth SoLé Mia, a seven-story, 363,000-square-foot ambulatory care center in South Florida. It is now the largest ambulatory facility in UHealth’s network. The center includes the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (South Florida’s only NCI-designated cancer center), Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (ranked #1 in the nation for 24 years), and the Desai Sethi Urology Institute, offering innovative urologic care.

**Hub Tampa Fowler Student Housing Announced Near USF**
A new student housing project, Hub Tampa Fowler, is coming to the University of South Florida area. Developed through a joint venture between Core Spaces and Harrison Street, the 1,195-bed purpose-built student housing development will be constructed just west of the USF main campus. Completion is expected in 2027.
