Next week, the Dell Children’s Medical Center North will open its doors as the first pediatric hospital in Williamson County. The groundbreaking for this new hospital took place in 2021 and it is over 187,000 square feet with 36 patient beds spread across four floors. The emergency department on the first floor offers level three trauma care while two operating rooms are located on the second floor. On third floor there is a Ronald McDonald suite which includes a lounge, kitchen and bedrooms along with other 36 beds while fourth floor is dedicated to future growth of this medical center that can hold up to 36 more beds.
Families at Dell Children’s Medical Center have access to pediatric specialists for follow-up care, rehabilitation services, imaging tests and pharmacy needs among others. This medical center also forms part of Ascension Seton network which consists of 14 hospitals and more than 100 clinic locations throughout Central Texas region.
