**Not-for-Profit OAD Relocates to Custom-Built Space at 42 Broadway**
Cushman & Wakefield has secured a 15,542-square-foot lease for the Office of the Appellate Defender (OAD) at 42 Broadway in Downtown Manhattan. The not-for-profit legal services organization will occupy the entire 14th floor of the building. The property is owned by Cammeby’s International Group and leased by The Lawrence Group, which offers flexible workspace solutions across six Manhattan properties, including this location.
Carri Lyon, Executive Managing Director and Co-Chair of Cushman & Wakefield’s National Not-for-Profit Practice Group, along with Director Jenna Catalo, represented OAD in the lease transaction. Building ownership was represented in-house by Brian Siegel and Henri Chalouh of The Lawrence Group.
“After 20 years at 11 Park Place, OAD will be expanding into a quality, custom-built space a few blocks south at 42 Broadway,” said Lyon. “They were drawn to the unique floorplate of the building, as well as the amenities and options for future growth. The move reflects OAD’s continued growth and commitment to serving New York City.”
The new headquarters for OAD marks a significant step forward for the organization, enhancing its operational capabilities and reinforcing its presence in the heart of Manhattan.
