Noble 33, a hospitality group, has unveiled plans to introduce its Mr. Noble concept to Chicago, with an opening targeted for early 2027 in the River North neighborhood. The new venue is described as an American brasserie centered on upscale comfort food, adding another dining option to one of the city’s most active restaurant districts.
The planned restaurant will be located at 500 N. Clark Street, within a property that is part of Friedman Properties’ River North portfolio. Mr. Noble is designed as a two-level concept, with the primary dining room on the upper level and a subterranean speakeasy-style space below, creating distinct environments within a single address.
The River North opening marks Noble 33’s second announced concept for the Chicago market. Prior to revealing plans for Mr. Noble, the group announced a separate Mexican-inspired restaurant concept slated for Fulton Market, signaling a broader push into two of Chicago’s most established dining and nightlife districts. While detailed timing for each opening was not provided, Mr. Noble is specifically targeted for an early 2027 debut.
Co-Founder Tosh Berman framed the Mr. Noble concept as a Chicago-first brand for Noble 33, rather than an import of an existing restaurant from another market. According to Berman, the company set out to design a concept tailored for a city he described as one of the most serious food destinations in the country, emphasizing that the group did not want to simply replicate a prior concept with a new address.
The Clark Street location adds a new restaurant and nightlife element to Friedman Properties’ holdings in River North, reinforcing the area’s role as a core hospitality and entertainment corridor in Chicago. Although no lease terms, investment amounts, or design specifications were disclosed, the introduction of a purpose-built two-level brasserie and speakeasy underscores continued tenant demand for experiential food-and-beverage concepts in established urban dining neighborhoods.
Further details on the build-out, project cost, and specific menu or programming for the speakeasy component have not yet been released. However, with Noble 33 advancing two separate concepts in River North and Fulton Market, the hospitality group is positioning itself to expand its Chicago footprint across multiple high-traffic, destination-oriented submarkets.
