Next Phase of Re-Branded Austin Mixed-Use Project Begins

The mixed-use development in Austin, formerly known as Velocity, has been renamed The Row and will now include an entertainment district and housing. Presidium is leading the 314-acre community project located at the intersection of State Highways 71 and 130. The upcoming phase of The Row will feature a standalone restaurant site spanning over 6,250 square feet and an additional retail space of approximately 22,000 square feet. Following this phase, there are plans for a third phase which will add another 100,000 square feet of retail space along with an AC Hotel by Marriott developed in partnership with Merritt Development Group. Additionally, a second multifamily project consisting of more than 300 units will be built along the frontage road on SH71.

The available space within The Row offers opportunities for both local and national retailers to establish their presence alongside restaurants and entertainment-focused concepts. Upon completion, this development is expected to bring thousands of homes as well as hotels to Southeast Austin while also providing around hundred acres dedicated to green spaces. With entitlements already secured for approximately seven million square feet worth of space at this location alone makes it one promising addition to Austin’s landscape.
